Practices
Practices are held at Ohio Wesleyan University George Gauthier Track inside of Selby Stadium. 45 S Henry St, Delaware, OH 43015.
Practices are held during the club season on
Tuesdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Thursdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Practice Format
Athletes may either spend the whole practice with one event group or two event groups per practice depending on the day, the interest of the athlete and the format of the event practice.
Each practice begins with a short meeting and a warm-up lap before breaking up into event groups.
Each event group has its own additional warm-ups and drills to complete prior to beginning workouts.
Some event groups separate athletes by age or ability.
Meet Format
Athletes must participate in at least one meet. Athletes compete in groups based on birth year. Central Ohio Cheetahs compete in USA Track and Field Meets. Meets are approved by the USA Track and Field Ohio Affiliate. Meets are held at different locations throughout Ohio and athletes can qualify for the USA Track and Field Region 5 Regional Meet and also for the USA Trak and Field Youth National Meet.
