Yes, USATF membership is required for all Athletes and is required to register to become a Central Ohio Cheetah.

No, parents are not required to stay for practice but are invited to sit in the bleachers during practice.

Appropriate training shoes and plenty of water. Athletes may bring spikes, event shoes or field implements.

Meet fees are not included in the club fees and coaches do not register athletes for meets.  Parents must register athletes for meets and pay meet fees through Athletic.net.  Some meets charge a flat fee for the meet while other meets charge per event. Coaches will provided guidance to athletes an what may be appropriate events for each athlete. Coaches will be at the meets to assist with warm-ups, getting to the event area and assisting with cool-down.

Parents must make arrangements for their athlete to and from each meet.  The team does set up a team camp at meets.  The club has 4 pop-up tents and many families also bring their own pop up tents and chairs. Coaches will pick up the bibs for all athletes registered as Cheetahs and those bibs will be available in the team camp

Athletes must pick up their own awards at meets.  Coaches are not always permitted to pick up awards for athletes.

Once an athlete is accepted, an invitation to a team store will be sent out for uniforms.  Uniforms are not required to participate but encouraged.  It makes it easier to identify athletes if they are similarly dressed.  There will be a team store with other clothing and spirit wear.

Safe sport is a program required by all coaches and athletes over 18 years old.  To be 3 Step Safe Sport Compliant each individual must be an adult USATF member, complete a USATF approved background check and complete a 90 minute Safe Sport Course.

All of the coaches are former athletes. Many competed in collegiate athletics. Many have individual accolades from their time in track and field.  All lead event coaches have or still coach at the club level and many coach middle school or high school track and field. Some still coach at the collegiate level.
